“A woman’s heart should be so lost in God that man must seek Him in order to find her”-Uknown
Every woman is a princess worth WAITING for. Ladies, if a man can’t wait for you then he is not worthy of you.
Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, 10 but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works.
-1 Timothy 2:9-10
I grew up with modesty being…
“The fact that I am a woman does not make me a different kind of christian,But the fact that I am a christian does make me a different kind of woman.”
— Elisabeth Elliot
I am against the mould of society that tells women that this and that is the standard of beauty. A beautiful woman is not limited to a thin girl with fair skin and nice long hair. Beauty can be found in all shapes and sizes, all colors, all race… every human being is beautiful in their own unique way because God made them that way.
Apart from the physical beauty though, there is the inner beauty that is of much worth. Women ought not to spend so much time on enhancing the physical beauty, rather they should seek to work on the inner beauty that comes from daily fellowship with the Creator. Inner beauty has a way of radiating its way to the outer. You work inside out, not outside in.
Base your security on God, and you don’t ever have to be insecure :)
You are your own you. You are your own beautiful. Every woman is beautiful. It is an essence that every woman carries from the moment of her creation.
Media says beautiful is the thin, fair skinned, long hair woman. The church sometimes shows that a beautiful woman is the one who is busy with ministry, and is gentle and quiet in speech. The corporate world says the beautiful woman is that who is independent, can get things done, and is reliable and strong. There are so many labels for us women to try to fit into. We strive so hard to find acceptance that we already have. We look so hard for affirmation that has already been given. You are free to be you. YOU. Not someone the world tells you to be. Not someone society demands you to be. Not someone media wants you to be. Not even what the church wants you to be. Be who God made you to be and wants you to be.
